Charlotte Spooner

Astara Creative Director

Creative Dance/Enchanted Dance Teacher

Astara founder, Charlotte Spooner begun her professional career in 2007 after graduating from Performers College in Essex, with a Diploma in Dance Theatre.  Charlotte has had a colourful decade of professional performing jobs starting with dancing in the Premier UK Tour of 'Le Grande Cirque', walk on parts in EastEnders and The Bill, modelling, dancing at huge events around the UK, choreographing touring fashion shows and singing in a pop/rock band which toured around Essex and London.  She is a trained TV Presenter and has had experience presenting live on the QVC TV Channel.

However, it was back in 2005 when Charlotte discovered her love and passion for teaching and qualified with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) in Modern and Tap. After teaching for many different dance schools, Astara was born in September 2010 through Charlotte's desire for nurturing children's own creativity and self-expression. Through a combination of hard work and luck, Astara attracted unlimited opportunities and the company grew and expanded to schools, holiday workshops and parties. Along the way, Charlotte has written and produced many unique shows and loves giving the students opportunity to perform on stage.

Charlotte has a huge passion for self and spiritual development.  She has trained in Angelic Reiki Healing Level 1 & 2 and offers Angelic Guidance Readings to adults.  She is looking to integrate her many years of healing experience into her teaching and future projects to help others, especially children and her own son Toby.  The things that most excite Charlotte are teaching, dancing, working with children, helping people, learning, presenting, performing, truth seeking and anything spiritual!
